Redundancy

Redundant? Retired? Think Again!! Generation Cherry Book Review

If you have been made redundant here is a helpful book for you!!

Generation Cherry Book Review

Generation Cherry is a cracking book for the 50+ generation. Being an avid reader and Author of self-help, how-to and Personal And professional development books, I can see how much time, effort, knowledge and skill, the writer has put into creating this book.

Essentially, this book is a well-written and crafted system for how to cope with your life after retirement, redundancy, or a change in circumstance, using the 4 autonomies to get your life in balance, keep it that way, and get a second bite of the cherry of life!

What is good about this book is it also covers how to deal with life when you have less money, in a productive and positive way, using Enlightened Thrift. So you have that feel good factor in your life, whatever the circumstances.

The use of quotes and references throughout the book adds to its helpfulness and I particularly enjoyed reading the play on Stephen Covey’s words “Seven Insidious Excuses Forcibly Rejected By Highly Effective people”.

If you are into NLP, A Coach, Entrepreneur, or New Lifer, this book is for you!

I would have given this book 5 Stars because I admire the Author’s work and have respect for him because of it. However, I am not the intended target audience, I am under 40 and did not like the remarks made about young people throughout the first half of the book. I felt they are stereotyped and as not knowing what they want and that they aren’t as successful in business as older people are. The Author managed to redeem himself in the latter half of the book, where he reveals having a young mindset is key to living a long and happy life, and that in his 70s, he adopts a young mindset and is still learning and looking forward to new adventures, while being a second biter of Generation Cherry!

I believe this book is life changing for me and I hope it will be for a ton of others too. Here is the Facebook link www.facebook.com/pages/Break-Through-The-Barriers-Of-Redundancy-Book-Author-Sandra-Bellamy Although my book is aimed at redundant workers, because it takes a holistic view of redundancy and getting back into work, it really does tackle a lot of well-being, confidence building and self-love issues, before dealing with the practicalities of job-hunting.

I have to check all of my hyperlinks work and then convert the manuscript to HTML for Kindle. Then -oooohhhhhh!!! It will be published Author time!!! I cannot wait! I am just so excited! It’s going to change my life, it’s going to help a ton of people and I just love it! I love helping people. I love writing. Oh my gosh to just be writing all the time again, was amazing. I took some time out of my day job – holiday – to do my writing of my book and I was spending ten hour shifts doing my writing and editing and amending, and it’s really hard work, really really hard work, but it’s so beautiful, I felt so at peace and at one with life and it’s absolutely fantastic! I have just been doing Facebook training with someone for their business, because I do Facebook and Twitter and Blogging training for business and that’s all great too, so you may see some books in the future, or a book about one or more of those subjects. More Quirky Books on the way. This Break Through The Barriers Of Redundancy book is incredible, it’s a complete A-Z guide for getting back into work and it takes a holistic view of redundancy. It’s all about going back to your inner being to the roots of who you are and what you were born to do before all the noise got in the way, the kids, the mortgage, marriage. Or just when life take it’s ups and downs and doesn’t quite go to plan, how you would want it too. But it’s amazing. It’s a really good book, even though I’ve written it and I say so myself and I look at it and think – ‘Did I really write that?’ But yeah I’m really proud of it. I love it and I hope you’ll love it too. So Break Through The Barriers Of Redundancy book will be out soon and I am so excited. Thank you for being on this journey with me. Launch of Quirky Academy UK to Beat Your Redundancy Blues

Quirky Academy UK
Quirky Academy UK Website

I just launched Quirky Academy UK – It will focus more on my products in comparison to Quirky Academy .com, that focuses more on my courses, classes, workshops and services – Starting with my Break Through the barriers of redundancy book.

I had a great time in London. Nick Vujicic was fantastic, and I got my photo taken with author Andrew Matthews, who signed all 3 of the books I bought from him. I told him I like to write and he listened to me about what my Break through the barriers of redundancy was about, and said I was well placed to write the book, having been made redundant twice myself. This is great motivation.

I went straight back into work and I am chocca at the mo. Photos and video/s to follow. It’s almost 4.30am and I have to get up for my day job in just over 3 hours, and I haven’t been to sleep yet.

Stay quirky and write soon

Sandra

Don’t let life cycle by – Take Action Now to Fufil Your Dreams

Don’t let life cycle by, take action now, to fufil your dreams.

Each and every second of life that passes us by, is a second gone forever.

Ask yourself this question. If you only had 24 hours left to live, how would you spend that time and who with?

Can you honestly say that you have lived your life, in a way which is authentic to you?

Can you honestly say that you have achieved everything in your life, that you have ever wanted to achieve?

Have you got:

● The right job for you?
● The right lifestyle for you?
● The right environment for you?
● The right life partner for you?
● The right you, for you?

Don’t let life cycle by. A cycle is a cycle for a reason. It’s round and continuous. But if you get on the wrong cycle path, you can stop yourself from achieving everything you have ever wanted in life.

Sometimes taking detours, or following different paths and breaking cycles, is actually what you need to succeed in every aspect of your life. Only then, can you make informed decisions as to what’s right and feels geat for you.

I took these photos on Thursday 11th of September, as The Tour of Britain cycled past the building where I work in my day job.
