Dreams ARE Real interview

How I Became The Asexual Entrepreneur – Dreams ARE Real Podcast Reveals ALL!

Most people equate success to how much money they’re making, but REAL success is not about how much money you make.

You’re successful when you can trust yourself, be yourself, and be happy with what you’re doing.

Right now, I don’t make a ton of money, as you will hear from my interview with Dan from the Dreams ARE real podcast, but as far as I’m concerned, I’m currently living my dreams, because:

I write books that change lives – Especially about asexuality, which is a huge passion of mine.

I help asexuals, through my https://www.youtube.com/asexualisemyasexuallife channel and asexual blog at www.asexualise.com and various Facebook groups and pages.

I’m financially free. As I finally got my disabilities officially recognised and my incomings are now more than my outgoings. Phew!

Asexuality is a sexual orientation largely based on a lack of sexual attraction, and for people like me, who identify as asexual, it can be hard to make our own voice heard.

Especially as sexual stereotypes and societal conditioning tell everyone that it’s natural to like, want, and need sex, and that anyone who says otherwise must be lying or have something wrong with them.

People tend to discard what they don’t understand.

They tend to disregard what is considered as “not” normal.

And they tend to feel extremely uncomfortable when something doesn’t fit in with their ideology.

But I encourage you to always stand proud of who you are, and to stop listening to what other people say, that drowns out the sound of your own voice. 😍

Asexuals have as much right to speak out about how they think and feel, including if they don’t like, want, or need sex, and have the right to be taken seriously. 😍

Just because asexuality is a minority sexuality, it doesn’t mean it’s wrong and not normal.

It’s normal for SOME people to not like, want, need, or get the urge for, partnered sexual intercourse, ever. 😍

Don’t let anyone blind you into believing we are all the same – because we are not.

There ARE people who never want sex, and that’s okay. 😍

The only reason most people don’t speak out, is because other’s ridicule them and tell you, you can’t be who you are born to be.

I am here to show you, you can.

That your life is your own and that speaking up, in your own voice, is essential to live your own life dreams and no one else’s. Regardless of your sexuality.

That’s why I’m thrilled to be able to give a voice to the voiceless, and share my own asexual life journey of how I became known as The Asexual Entrepreneur and explain what it feels like to be asexual in this highly sexualised world, and how to live your asexual dreams and be your true authentic self, no matter what, on the Dreams ARE Real podcast.

How To Never Give Up On YOUR Dreams

SOS can stand for Save Our Souls – and is a cry for help! SOS can also mean Shiny Object Syndrome.

Ironically, if you suffer from Shiny Object Syndrome, then you’ll probably need to shout Save Ours Souls – or in the least “Save My Own Soul”, at some point.

Shiny Object Syndrome is when you keep going from one thing to the next because it seems like the better opportunity.

If you imagine you find a number of jewels in the dessert and each jewel you find appears bigger and more valuable than the previous one, and so you go after each one of those hoping it will lead you to be rich and even richer and richer, but you forget you are in a dessert and really need more water, but the jewels could buy all the water you need, and all the food you need, and the house you need… but these jewels take you further and further away from civilisation, until eventually you realise you have ended up in a drought with only your jewels for comfort as you neglected your own basic needs, in trying to find the next best thing. In being drawn to what is glowing and sparkling, and what promises to get you the results you need, while being blinded constantly to what you really need and what your heart’s desire truly wants and needs. That’s Shiny Object Syndrome.

In my entrepreneurial journey, I came to realise that much of the time we are going after other’s dreams and not our own. Because they convince us that their product or service is better than anyone else’s, and often our own inner voice gets drown out as we feel we will be missing out (FOMO) and that there is a huge magic secret formula that would allow us to get rich super quickly. Also they make you feel like you will fail if you don’t do what they say, and no one wants to be responsible for their own failure usually, as we are had wired not to want to take risks in case we get things wrong.

But, it’s better to follow your own life path and dreams, warts and all, even if you make mistakes, rather than go after someone else’s shiny object, so that you can shine your own light in the world, and leave your own lasting legacy, rather than build other people’s, so you can leave this world knowing you did your best for yourself and you own dreams, with no regrets.

9 Ways To Train Your Brain Every Day And Why It’s A Must!

train your brain

5 simple exercises you can do every day to train your brain:
1. Read a book
2. Change your surroundings and regular routes
3. Concentrate, delve into details
4. Memorise information, learn poems
5. Think positively

Your brain is your life force. If you don’t keep your brain alive, you die inside, it’s as simple as that. Once your brain has no juice to keep it going, and no hope because it has nothing to live for, it dies inside and so do you with it. This is what happened to my Grandma when she was in a nursing home that no longer stimulated her mind, and in my opinion did not even care for her in the most humane way they could have done, but at least I had her for 96 years and so I am very thankful and grateful for that. Although most of those years were before she went in there. I pray I am always able to look after myself or pay for myself to have care in my own home in years to come should I need it, because I would not wish that on anyone. I used to think I would like to be in a nursing home if need be in the future as I would always have company and make friends but not when you are not able to go to the toilet when you want and peeing yourself or into a pad so it seeps out onto the chair is acceptable. Don’t worry, I did fight for her while she was alive, and had meetings with the manager/s, but to no positive outcome, in fact I was almost banned from seeing her and that stopped me seeing her when I really needed to. That is why it is so very important that even if your body is not in the best state of heath, you make sure your brain is kept alive so you can think for yourself and stay in your own home. After a fall she was put in there and stayed there and at first they had activities to stimulate the resident’s mind but then they stopped having those, although to the public it was a different story.

My Grandma used to do word searches while in her own home and that really helped and my parents do crosswords to keep their brain active and alive. My mum also watches a lot of TV programmes that ask general knowledge questions and my dad although retired blacksmith, has a non-profit organisation at the age of 72 years and now works up to 5 days a week, doing courses in Blacksmithing. He helps a lot of people with special needs to gain confidence and self-esteem through working with metal as well as those without special needs and people come from all over the world to attend. Some people buy gift vouchers to give as a birthday or Christmas present or other.

So whatever you do, keep your brain active as much as possible, so you maintain a good quality of life and your independence, and you also keep your morale up.

6. Listen to motivational and thought-provoking YouTube videos.

7. Watch films that make you think about life, the world, planet, and universe!

8. Read things that help you to learn skills.

9. Do things that give you incredible experiences to make you think differently.

How are you keeping your brain active and alive? Please comment below because I love to read you!

As always, stay positive and live your quirky dreams.

Guided Mini Meditation To Boost Your Productivity

This mini meditation has really boosted my productivity levels far beyond my expectations. Now, if I work on things for 13 hours, my life feels great! My mind wants to do more work!

Do this affirmation every morning before you start your day and see your productivity levels soar. My favourite part is letting go of the expectations of others – but especially of myself. And also imagining my work done is as much detail as possible. These really help me!

This affirmation is a powerhouse on its own, and it works even more powerfully, if you do the affirmation first, which I suggested last week. If you missed that post, here it is https://wordpress.com/post/beatredundancyblues.wordpress.com/33706

Until next time, stay positive
