If you have those qualities as the essence of your soul, you are free to discover the wonders of outside of those box restrictions, to have a more deep and meaningful existence.
The word rigid can have different meanings. If you put your life in a box and remain rigid that you are not letting anything or anyone into your life, you will never get new ideas, fresh perspective or learn new concepts and ideas. These are essential to living rather than existing. If you have a rigid personality, it can also mean you have a backbone. That you are steadfast, strong, reliable and dependable. Those are awesome qualities to have.
Remember, you are amazing and beautiful just as you are. No one should put you in a box and crush you. You are quirky, every characteristic of you, makes up who you are. Sure, if you are not happy with the you, you see, then change, but never change for anyone. If someone tells you that you are not good at something or you have a weakness, that’s their box that they have placed you in, not your own. Don’t put your life in a box, but rather create the box that you would like to be in for yourself. Then knock those cardboard walls down until you stand there with your naked personality for all to see, having absorbed the strength and uniqueness of being wonderful you.

It can be really hard to stay strong in life. Especially when other people try to persuade you that their way, is the right way. That what they are asking you to do, is what you should be doing. That if you don’t do what they ask, you have failed in life or let them down. This is bad thinking.
It is made increasingly harder when you are more vulnerable. Such as when you are made redundant, you split up from a long term relationship or you have a low self esteem and feel depressed.
What you have to do, is to stay strong, and ask yourself some important questions:
●Is it the right way for me?
●Is what they are asking me to do, going to make me feel good?
●Am I going to benefit as a result?
●What are the consequences going to be for me?
● Am I happy or comfortable with what is being asked?
If you answered no to any of these questions and the consequences won’t be good, don’t do it, and certainly not their way. It’s your life and you have ultimate control over what you do or don’t do, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Stay strong and tell them it’s not the right thing for you to do, and it’s not your way. We are blessed with individuality, and that’s why you must choose what is right for you.
